***: As a Group Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in selling museum visits to various group markets, such as Tour Operators, out-of-province school groups, performance groups, conferences, corporations, associations, social groups, academic and religious institutions, and community organizations. Your responsibilities will include upselling ancillary products and services to maximize revenue, providing exceptional customer service, invoicing clients, processing payments, prospecting new clients, and providing administrative support to the Tourism & Promotions team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conduct daytoday group sales activities, including selling group visits and upselling ancillary products and services, tailoring the experience to meet clients' needs and maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate scheduling of group experiences and staff/volunteers, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Manage invoicing, secure and process payments, and handle daily transaction deposits.
  • Follow up with clients after their visit to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide administrative support to the Tourism & Promotions team, including researching new group prospects, updating tourism listings, and preparing group packages.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of prospect and stewardship activity in the ticketing system for reporting purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Completion of less than two (2) years of postsecondary training/education in a marketing, education, or Museumrelated discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience, preferably in notforprofit, cultural, and/or education sectors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, customize offerings, and deliver results.
  • Strong research skills to find relevant content for target audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, initiative, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Bilingual French/English language skills are an asset.
