JOB SUMMARY:


Reporting to the Director, People, Culture and Diversity and as a member of the People, Culture and Diversity team_,_ the Human Resources Business Partner will assist in developing and delivering people management strategies which support the organization's overall strategic aims and objectives, including managing, developing and executing the strategy for Learning and Development programs.

Functions as the main point of contact for program/department leaders, to educate, advise, guide, support and incorporate workforce DEI into core organizational systems and practices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing human resource policies, standards and procedures.
  • Ensures HR practice is in compliance with all collective agreements, legislation such as Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code and Labour Relations Code, licensing requirements and any requirements for external reporting.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the strategy for Learning and Development programs, including delivering workshops, seminars, lunch & learns, and other training programs.
  • Development leadership development programs to support people development priorities such as performance management, career development, conflict resolution, employee engagement and change management
  • Assist in developing an action plan in alignment with our DEI Plan and People, Culture and Diversity Strategic Plan as well as industry and global best practices, and will oversee resources and programs related to DEI, including hiring and search practices aimed at developing a representative and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Assist in designing, implementing and managing other HR programs including labour relations, claims management, Occupational Health and Safety, job evaluation and classification.
  • Supports the Director, People, Culture and Diversity in employee relations and provides consultation, advise and administrative direction to directors, managers and employees on HR and Labour Relations matters.
  • Assist the Director, People, Culture and Diversity in implementing organizational development strategies, including succession planning.
  • Liaise effectively with union shop stewards, HEABC representatives if required, and employees for effective negotiation and resolution of disputes. Coordinate all documentation and correspondence relating thereto.
  • Act as a backup to managing the IT and HRIS by ensuring identified tasks are completed. Manage the HR contents in Sharepoint. Contact point for any IT/HRIS questions or issues.
  • Provides input to HR budgets and participates in process to prioritize. Monitors the operating budgets for Human Resources and Staffing Services. Controls expenditures and provides rationale for negative variances.

CREDENTIALS:


  • Diploma in Human Resources Management and/or Three (3) to Five (5) years of recent related experience
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources or working towards the CPHR designation. Certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is an asset
  • Previous experience in leading DEI strategies
  • Knowledge of DEI methodology and how to guide the cultural and behavioral changes needed to enable an inclusive environment.
  • Strategic thinker, flexible and able to work through processes that transform goals to action and deliverables
  • Knowledgeable about Collective Agreements, Employment Standards and other legislations and regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Powerpoint
  • Experience working in health care environment is an asset

Salary:
$70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
