As a
Cook, you play a direct role in the comfort and care of our patients each day through serving them healthy and nutritious meals developed by our dietary service team.
By doing so you are aligned with Cheffry's Artisanal Bistro primary mission of providing a safe environment promoting long term recovery.
You will partner with the Facilities Manager and the Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.

Job Summary:
- Preparation of food for patients by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, equipment, and dishesware according to treatment plan. Also washing and drying dishes, pans, etc., according to treatment plan.
- Cleaning up after patients by tidying up room areas, making sure there are no leftover food or drink containers, changing linens, stocking shelves etc. Also cleaning up outdoors as needed.
- Preparation of medications for patients by cleaning bottles, stacking them on shelves, putting them in glass jars etc., according to treatment plan. Also cleaning up outside outside according to treatment plan.
- Bottling water according to treatment plan. Also cleaning up outside outside according to treatment plan.
- Compliance with COVID 19 protocol including providing protective equipment as needed to protect the patient's body and mind.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking with people who are drug users or alcohol addicts preferred.
- Experience with COVID 19 protocol preferred.
- COVID 19 Vaccination Religious or Medical Card required; medical exemption status available for qualified individuals.'

Salary:
$17.00-$19.00 per hour
