We are looking to hire a
Bookkeeper to join our team.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with QuickBooks is an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Take initiative
  • Good customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving and critical thinking

General Responsibilities

  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Import data between accounting software
  • Maintain general ledgers
  • Post journal entries

Accounts receivable

  • Take customer payments
  • Call to collect on overdue accounts
  • Provide customer statements
  • Process and deposit cheques
  • Monitor cash flow

Accounts Payable

  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Record vendor invoices
  • Make payments through bank and credit card
  • Send remittances to vendors
  • Intercompany billings

Payroll

  • Understand general payroll practice
  • Familiarity of payroll items such as hourly/salary wags, overtime, premium time, stat pay, bonuses, vacation, taxes, deductions, RRSP, benefits etc.

Analyze Financials

  • Pull reports, analyze data and present to management

Assist with Month-End Procedures

  • Reconcile accounts
  • Make adjustment entries
  • Create monthly financial reports

Arrears

  • Payments to HST, source deductions, EHT, WSIB

Salary:
$28.00-$32.00 per hour

  • Accounting: 2 years (required)
