Atmosphere Sound Floor Solutions Ltd (Sound Floors) is a growing gypsum topping installation company that has served British Columbia since 2017 as a division of Atmosphere Flooring Solutions (served BC since As a member of the Atmosphere team, you will be part of a group of dedicated people that provides exceptional services in all aspects of the flooring and gypsum topping industry.
The Foreman position plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations at the various work sites, ensuring the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Atmosphere guarantees the successful applicant the opportunity to be home every Sunday and most Saturdays (+/- 5 Saturdays per year may be required).
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience with proven ability to motivate and guide a topping installation crew and produce high quality results.
- Ability to organize and plan logistics and people movements in a changing environment.
- Strong communication skills with coworkers, customers and management.
- Construction experience.
- Attention to detail from project start to finish.
- Moderate computer skills and ability to work with programs such as Jobber, Excel, and PM software.
- Valid forklift/skid steer/zoom boom certification with experience.
- Class 1 Drivers License
- Experience driving larger vehicles.
- First Aid Training
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
Coordinating Tasks: prioritize tasks based on weather conditions, supply availability, and personnel. Be able to adjust as needed.
Delegating Responsibilities: assign individual tasks and projects to crew members and contractors.

Resource Allocation: ensure adequate staffing and resources to meet project schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Safety Emphasis: emphasize safe tool and equipment use, provide safety gear training, and enforce safety protocols.

Maintenance Management: ensure adequate maintenance is performed on equipment to optimize onsite time

Budget and Quality Management: manage project budgets, monitor team performance and ensuring quality standards.

Conflict Resolution: promptly address conflicts or miscommunications.

Reporting: Regularly report project status to supervisors and site contacts.
