The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects and subsets of projects of varying priority.

The IT PM leads project teams through the effective planning, management, and implementation of moderately complex, multi-phase project initiatives which may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders across various IT and business areas operating in multiple entities.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver each project on time and within budget, scope, and quality requirements, through the indirect leadership of a diverse team of IT professionals and cross-functional business staff assigned to the project.


How you will create impact:


  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project stakeholders including Project Sponsors, Steering Committee members, Working Committee members, other business and IT managers and directors.
  • May provide input to vendor negotiations and/or manage vendors within defined contract parameters.
  • Build a positive and motivating project team environment. Provide input to project team members performance reviews.
  • Communicate and negotiate with key project stakeholders. This includes coordinating, chairing, and facilitating project meetings.
  • Integrate change management activities such as communication and training into project plans.
  • Anticipate and manage project issues. Communicate the impact of these issues and facilitate solutions.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and ensure resources are applied appropriately to ensure project success.
  • Participate in the planning process by relating organizational priorities to resource availability and current initiatives to deliver a plan that will maximize resource utilization and results.

  • Liaise with contacts on other projects and corporate initiatives and network to keep abreast of corporate objectives, industry trends, technologies, and project management best practices.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with various IT, business areas and other Cooperators departments.
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities.

To join our team:


  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience working within the Information Technology profession, along with 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • You have a Degree in Business or Computer Science is preferred or equivalent related experience.
  • You possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or actively working on acquiring/working towards one.
  • You have solid project life cycle experience with strong knowledge of project management and systems development.
  • You are experienced with various project management development methodologies.
  • You have a strong understanding of organizational change management methodology.
