PRIMARY FUNCTION


The six health-partners in the South East region recognize that to achieve person centered, effective care coordination across the system, enhance the ability to make best use of collective resources, achieve more system-like behavior, and have the agility to address future funding changes, a major, system-wide clinical transformation is needed.

This clinical transformation will meet clinical information needs of both the health-partners and the region. Lumeo, a regional Health Information System will support the "
_one standard of care and journey for the people we serve"_ vision identified by the partners' clinical leadership.

This program opportunity will enable the sharing of information seamlessly across the six health-partners, connecting the personal health information into a single cohesive story and reducing the variability of care provided.


The Workstream Manager will oversee a team of 6-12 clinical systems analysts and specialists focused on the operational support and optimization of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) for the South East Hospital Cluster, including actions required for requirements gathering, system testing, and implementation of workflow updates and changes.

In addition, they provide advice, guidance, and support to hospital leaders, staff and partners on device and telecom services.


Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) strategy and ensuring integration with other workstream managers, clinical leaders and regional governance to drive standardization.

Areas of management:

Lab and Infection Control, Radiology, Pharmacy, Surgery and Anesthesia. Areas of management may be adjusted as needed.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE:


Project Management- Oversee day-to-day management and workload of the workstream's operational team members and provide guidance to meet business needs Defines and communicates goals and expectations for staff to ensure they support the broader process/operation and provide technical guidance and work direction to staff, as needed Identifies, manages, and mitigates/resolves risks and issues Regularly monitors team productivity, progress, and effectiveness of team in comparison to established performance metrics and operational KPIs Takes corrective action to ensure that operational delivery strategies and services continue to operate efficiently and effectively; ensure project reporting requirements are met Reviews monthly metrics and reports to draw insights on volume and type of operational issues received and resolved as per the service level agreements and correct accordingly
Operations- Proactively engages with internal clients and stakeholders to understand and address current and future operational needs for their workstream Determines appropriate team structure and staffing / competency mix based on operational needs and special projects Facilitates regional working groups to discuss the status of key deliverables, shared issues, end-users' concerns and upcoming milestones impacting clinical and non-clinical workflows Ensures team complies with regional change management and operational policies and standard operating procedures Work with clinical leadership and other workstream managers to drive standardization within and beyond the workstream. Work with Lumeo Operational team on change requests and issue resolution to ensure appropriate integration concerns are addressedProposes optimizations and enhancements
Team Development- Recruits and develops staff as required to execute workstream strategy Creates an environment for personal development so that each member of the team can maximize their potential Leads, guides, and coaches the team on educational and career opportunities Sets and monitors annual performance objectives for team members Develops and maintain teams' technical skills, and arrange technical and leadership training as required
Relationships Building- Serves in a lead role in presentations to senior leadership on key project updates, broad reaching optimizations and issues, industry trends, etc. Serves as liaison between workstream and regional leads to build trust and seek active feedback on the workstream functionality Manages regional/local stakeholders and project teams through regular cons
