Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with host and management to establish clear direction of daily content
- Researching segment topics
- Booking segment guests
- Establishing relationships with media contacts related to the program (political, entertainment, etc.)
- Responsible for creating show ideas and booking talent
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of news and social issues that relate to our audience
- Working with host to record other production that is required
- Remaining conversant with all departmental production equipment
Skill requirements:
- Post secondary degree/diploma from a recognized Broadcast Program or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated creativity skills in engaging users
- Must be organized and able to handle multiple assignments
- Excellent interpersonal skills and has a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
- Strong computer skills and internet proficiency
- Highly motivated and with the ability to meet high production standards and tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment
- Knowledge of English required:Interactions with English speaking customers or people outside of Quebec
