Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Lead and actively participate in requirement gathering sessions and work with other D&A and business resources to fully document such requirements.
  • Participate in feasibility discussions and put forward design proposals for data science products/modules related to requirements provided by the business and formulate appropriate data science tasks
  • Participate in and lead the development of ML and DS algorithms, testing and validation.
  • Oversee predelivery quality assurance and automated load analysis.
  • Provide post rollout support for data science products.
  • Provide project management support including planning and documentation, daily project tracking, using agile methodology.
  • Support Senior Data Science Manager with managing daily development tasks and resources.
  • Support Senior Data Science Manager with project proposals, review and decision making for data science research initiatives and collaboration with external partners (academia, research institutions and government agencies).
  • Fully participate in agile ceremonies and provide direct contribution to Big Room Planning sessions in initiatives involving data science products run and managed by the Data and Analytics team.
  • Work closely with other team members and internal and external partners (Global D&A, Uniops, Business Stakeholders, Third Party Vendors) to manage issue resolution and ensure timely communication.
  • Participate in special projects.
Key Skills/Competencies

  • University Degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Math/Physics or similar
  • MSC in any of the above fields preferred
  • 35 years of experience in Data Science/Advanced Analytics with at least 2 years in managing DS products at scale
  • Experience in developing statistical and ML models, strong data and analytics skills, thorough knowledge of product development lifecycle is a must have.
  • In Depth knowledge of Python, SQL, Keras, TensorFlow, parallel computing, and Docker Container is required.
  • Hands On practice in optimization models is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in working in an agile setting is preferred
