Summary:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Select equipment, such as:
- Control valves, flow meters, regulators, transmitters, relief valves, isolation valves, gauges and analytical sampling accessories
- Control hardware
- Low voltage support devices heaters, disconnects, tracers, etc.
- Generate instrument RFQs, including information regarding sizing, specifications, product and material selections, and accessories
- Generate and review Technical Work Products, including instrument datasheets, equipment index, low voltage electrical drawings, layout drawings, sizing calculations and technical reports
- Ensure compliance of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls hardware with applicable codes
- Support Internal Verification Testing and Operational Qualification of the packaged solutions
- Support internal and external customers with the installed equipment and solutions knowledge
- Work within a team to deliver effective customer outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Postsecondary education in Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Engineering or Technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design and selection of instrumentation, controls and the electrical support devices mentioned
- Working knowledge of processes and process controls
- Ability to identify the problem, effectively use resources, generate alternatives, choose, and implement a solution
- Ability to explore alternatives, respond to opposing views, and offer fit for purpose solutions
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently in a fastpaced environment
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
