Deveraux Developments is seeking a General Foreperson to join our expanding team in Edmonton.

What you bring...

Proven experience as construction foreman
High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.)
Experience in multifamily wood frame construction is an asset
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building code and construction best practices
Familiarity with safe work procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an asset
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong ability to be proactive; and understand the importance of attention to detail and quality control
Problem solver with a cando attitude
A Passion for construction
Procore software experience would be an asset
Ability to communicate and report effectively
Aptitude in math
Good physical condition and stamina

You will...

Work with the project team to problem solve on site issues.
Assume a leadership role and provide guidance to project team members
Demonstrate confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with team/client as well as effectively lead the trades
Assess problems & manage conflict by effectively dealing with issues in a professional manner
Proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when needed
Be a proactive selfstarter with the ability to think ahead and plan work accordingly
Demonstrate leadership in health and safety
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Report on progress to managers
