Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist (Vocational RSS)

Status:
Temporary Full-time Contract (6 months)

Location:
Remote; Work from Home, Western Canada

Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), a national provider for Veterans Affairs Canada, is now welcoming Veterans and their families into a newly expanded Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program.

The Rehabilitation Program provides access to medical, psycho-social and vocational services to help ensure a successful transition to life after service for Veterans.

The

What You'll Do

Be part of a team of Rehabilitation Service Specialists in the delivery and coordination of Rehabilitation Services for program participants
Assist the team to provide superior participantcentered services that lead to successful outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
Establish and meet caseload and performance metrics
Ensure service standards and outcomes meet and exceed requirements
Coordinate all assessments, interpret reports, and recommendations
The RSS will also coordinate any assessments required for VAC's Financial Benefits Programs (IRB and CFIS)

What You Bring

A current health professional designation, Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional (CVRP), or a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional
Fellow (CVRP F), or Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec
A minimum of three (3) years experience in the direct provision of medical, psychosocial or vocational rehabilitation services (or a combination thereof) to Participants
Experience conducting medical, psychosocial or vocational rehabilitation assessments
Experience working with persons living with mental or physical health problems creating barriers to civilian life
Experience analyzing and interpreting medical, psychosocial or vocational assessments and making recommendations based upon critical analysis of information leading to the development of a comprehensive plan and program of care
Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment.
