    Description

    The Assistant Store Manager will report to the Store Manager and is responsible for providing assistance to the store management team in supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff scheduling, supervision and management, customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, and health and safety compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide support to store management in overseeing daily store operations.
    • Fill in for Store Manager when needed.
    • Assist in key personnel management activities like interviews, promotions, and reviews as requested.
    • Give guidance to store associates when necessary.
    • Maintain store conditions to meet standards consistently.
    • Aid in creating weekly staffing schedules based on business needs as requested.
    • Communicate effectively with store departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Interact with customers in a professional manner setting an example for staff.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and laws by all staff.
    • Address customer complaints promptly and appropriately.
    • Enforce health, safety, and security regulations.
    • Oversee inventory management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • QCW and Sell safe certification required.
    • 3+ years of retail work experience.
    • 2+ years of supervisory experience in retail.
    • Strong service orientation.
    • Proficient in time management and prioritization.
    • Skilled in staff training and motivation.
    • Ability to assess staff performance.
    • Basic office administration skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Effective teamwork.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Customer service and problem-solving abilities.
    • Diplomatic with strong team-building skills.
    • Understanding of health and safety laws.
    • Positive work attitude.
    • Willing to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Flexibility to work in different locations.
