The Adult Services Program at Surrey Place provides comprehensive clinical services to adult clients over the age of 18, who have developmental disabilities.
The goal of our program is to help our clients manage the challenges of daily living, promote their independence, and enhance their overall quality of life, through supporting them to reach their goals.
With an inclusive approach to service, the Adult Services team works closely with our adult clients, their families, caregivers, and service providers.
As part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program, the Adult Services program is seeking an Administrative Intern. This position reports to the Manager, Adult Services.Please note that as this position is a part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program, it is therefore dependent on funding
Main responsibilities:
The Administrative Intern is responsible for updating and maintaining client health records and other data associated with new and existing clients in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) digital system.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Audit CRM information through data validation and clean up.
- Responsible for data entry and collection for both clinical and administrative purposes.
- Gather, review and catalogue group resource materials
- Ensure effective storage of resource materials on Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education is preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills.
- Newcomers / refugee youth (Newcomers are defined as having arrived in Canada within the past 5 years)
- Indigenous youth
- Visible minorities / racialized youth
- LGBTQ2 youth
- Youth with disabilities
- Youth who have not previously been employed and for whom this would be their first job experience.
