Role Description

Qualifications

Minimum undergraduate degree in a related health or human services field (social work, nursing)
Experience providing counseling, case management and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and impacted by poverty, homelessness, substance use criminalization, social isolation etc.
Commitment to and experience working within a harm reduction framework
Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills, with well

- developed problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of community resources, social and environmental determinants of health, evidenceinformed practices in working with child, adolescent and adult mental health
Current knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act and P.H.I.P.A.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in French and/or another language in addition to English an asset
Demonstrated commitment to antiracist/antioppressive practice and alignment with the mission and values of Good Shepherd
Valid Ontario driver's license

This is a full time, in-person contract role, however we are open to schedule flexibility_**
