We are currently seeking an experienced, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team Please note that applicants must have a current stand up reach and counterbalance operator's license.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain team to coordinate movement of all inbound goods.

They will ensure the best service for inbound shipments - at the best rate - and communicate any changes relating to delivery times to the Supply Chain and Customer Service departments in a timely manner.

Working with the Operations and Supply Chain teams, the Logistics Coordinator will schedule deliver of ocean containers into Canadian warehouses within agreed upon timeframes.


Duties Include:


  • Book and schedule unbound shipments into all warehouses in the network
  • Communicate the schedule / log for all inbound shipments to Operations each day
  • Update delivery dates on POs as goods move so the Customer Service team always has accurate and timely information to deliver to the customer
  • Schedule container deliveries with carriers and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner
  • Work with Broker to ensure goods are classified appropriately and documentation is accurate
  • Participate in the negotiation of freight rates
  • Source best rates for shipments into the USA
  • Audit Freight invoices for accuracy before submitting to Accounts payable
  • Work with US colleagues to create all necessary documentation for all shipments to the USA
  • Prepare inventory logs for receiving product into Canadian warehouse
  • Demonstrate open communication with other departments regarding information for all inbound orders, transfers, etc.
  • Balancing of inventory and creating transfers as required
  • Provide purchasing support as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Postsecondary education in Business or Supply Chain and Logistics preferred
  • 13 years of Logistics experience dealing with carriers, negotiating rates, and tracking and tracing ocean and rail containers
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Ocean, Land and Air experience preferred

Salary:
From $55,000.00 per year
