We are currently seeking a
Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at our
Ottawa-Carling, ON location.


This dynamic role will allow you actively contribute to the improvement of peoples' health and wellness, while earning a competitive salary and participating in our benefits package.


Responsibilities:


  • Call patients to assess their needs, ensuring their equipment is working properly and replaced within the approved manufacturer's guidelines
  • Discuss cost of service, insurance coverage, and payment options with the patient
  • Liaise with insurance companies on behalf of and/or in conjunction with patients to determine insurance entitlements
  • Confidentially manage patient accounts
  • Keep current on various products and services from our vendors
  • Perform data entry tasks and maintaining patient database to ensure timely follow up
  • Confidentially manage patient accounts
  • Schedule patient visits and answer previsit questions, including about billing
  • Scan/file documents into patient charts
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to established protocol
  • Greets patients and screens them for appropriate information
  • Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Evening and weekend hours maybe required

Qualifications:


  • Bilingual in English & French an asset
  • Postsecondary education preferred
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience (Medical office diploma or experience preferred)
  • Retail or customer service experience is an asset
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work as part of a team under mínimal supervision
