We are currently seeking a
Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at our
Ottawa-Carling, ON location.
This dynamic role will allow you actively contribute to the improvement of peoples' health and wellness, while earning a competitive salary and participating in our benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Call patients to assess their needs, ensuring their equipment is working properly and replaced within the approved manufacturer's guidelines
- Discuss cost of service, insurance coverage, and payment options with the patient
- Liaise with insurance companies on behalf of and/or in conjunction with patients to determine insurance entitlements
- Confidentially manage patient accounts
- Keep current on various products and services from our vendors
- Perform data entry tasks and maintaining patient database to ensure timely follow up
- Confidentially manage patient accounts
- Schedule patient visits and answer previsit questions, including about billing
- Scan/file documents into patient charts
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to established protocol
- Greets patients and screens them for appropriate information
- Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Evening and weekend hours maybe required
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English & French an asset
- Postsecondary education preferred
- Minimum one year of relevant experience (Medical office diploma or experience preferred)
- Retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Exceptional client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work as part of a team under mínimal supervision
