Description

The Inclusion Coordinator is responsible to oversee the provision of a safe, caring and developmentally appropriate early learning environment for all children, between the ages of three months and twelve years.

The Inclusion Coordinator will oversee all in centre Support staff as well as support the Area Director, staff and Directors with curriculum development and all things Quality Matters.

The Inclusion Coordinator guides staff as well as works with a multidisciplinary team (including the Area Director, Center Director, developmental specialists, teachers, parents) to develop and implement routine based intervention plans, as required.

The Inclusion Coordinator will guide all the following areas, Inclusion policy, Diversity, Quality matters, play based learning and The Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum framework while working within and abiding by all regulations and standards related to the childcare centre; daycare, fire and health.

The Inclusion Coordinator uses centre philosophy and policy to adapt programs and equipment as required to maintain and enhance a standard of care that contributes to continuous quality improvement.

Duties include but not limited to support of

Children's development and care
Family and Community relations
Professional relationships
Personal and professional development

REQUIREMENTS:

Nova Scotia level 1 childcare certification (level 2 or 3 is preferred)
Updated first aid certification
Updated clear child abuse screening
Clear vulnerable sector screening
Clear criminal record check
Two professional references
