Construction Estimator

We are looking for an energetic + competitive Estimator to join our growing team who, reporting directly to the Director of Estimating + Preconstruction.

This role will be responsible for estimating hard tender and construction management projects. This role is based at our Surrey Office, but we offer remote + flexible working arrangements.

- meticulous in organization of tenders, and submission requirements

Calm ability to manage fast paced estimating environment and stay calm under pressure

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and communication skills
Training in estimating procedures and quantity survey
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and On-Screen takeoff software
Must have excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
Postsecondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in a construction or industryrelated program
Previous experience estimating commercial construction projects would be an asset

Responsibilities:

Strategic planning to determine best approach to pricing and tendering
Tender document review to determine necessary scopes and subcontractors
Solicitation of contractor bids
Distribution of plans to qualified bidders
Data entry of contractor proposals
Followup and review of contractor bids
Finalize tender documents and submissions for projects ranging in value from $500K $10M
Manage and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
