    Description
    We are looking for two Senior DevOps for our growing DevOps team at the Data Lab.

    This role is part of the platform support team to the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), which consists of AWS, Snowflake and Databricks.

    The Senior DevOps will contribute to day-to-day operation on the infrastructure management, security, monitoring and alerting.

    These two roles with little to no guidance, providing guidelines and carries out the different activities related to the execution of platform support.


    Profile :

    • Provide a platform admin role on the data platform, such as Snowflake or/and Databricks
    • Developing and deploying solution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    • Creating and executing the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines
    • Continue improving the automation by collaborating with different teams
    • Developing Proof of Concept to validate the ideas

    Responsibilities

    Investigates and fixes complex defects (for multiple smaller functional applications); develops and designs technical solutions for existing products or for enhancements to new/future releases.

    Performs root cause analysis, interprets the results, and develops action plan and priorities for backlogs (identifying short- and long-term solutions); may lead implementation of plan
    Leads development of requirements, understanding impact of architecture on overall solution.
    Leads proof-of-concept for medium to large initiatives; implements prototypes to validate ideas
    Designs for conformity between deployment environments, scalability, security and flexibility.

    Independently handles and provides additional support in solving software/system monitoring issues and escalations which require complex technical expertise to troubleshoot.

    Provides input for configuration activities such as alerts, dashboards, etc.

    Reviews critical tickets/incidents for lower levels to ensure accuracy; provides input into monitoring systems and leads resolution process for critical issues that impact multiple applications or groups.

    Assist development teams by providing guidance of observability best practices and implementations.
    Assist in tracking and reporting of costs.
    Researches and proposes solutions for automation of deployments.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
    5 to 8 years of experience
    Excellent experience of modern Cloud technologies, such as AWS, S3, Lambda.
    Excellent experience of DevOps, IaC\CICD tools such as Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, ELK, Ansible.
    Excellent experience in the Data Platform Management, such as Snowflake or\and Databricks
    Knowledge of machine learning cycle is an asset
    A self-starter, who can drive and follow through the initiatives from the beginning to the end.
    Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.

    For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the ncessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
