We are currently seeking an energetic Human Resources Business Partner with excellent customer service skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Human Resources Business Partner will work directly with leadership teams at all levels, across the organization, to provide sound advice on people matters.

A true strategic partner, having experience in healthcare/ manufacturing and/or the pharmaceutical industries, this stand-alone role will work across all areas including Employee Relations, Manager Development, Compensation and Rewards, Talent Attraction, Healthy & Safety and Employee Communications.

This is a hybrid role, requiring in-person presence at our GTA locations 2 days per week.


Main Accountabilities

  • Support the daytoday HR operational duties for the assigned portfolio
  • Responsible for providing valueadded professional HR advice and counsel to managers in the assigned portfolio in areas of employee relations; recruitment and retention; compensation and benefits; performance management; employment terminations; organizational and job design; corporate restructuring; change management; attendance management; and workforce planning
  • Actively coach leaders on program/policy support, education, issues management, solutionbased problem solving, and developing peoplefocused strategies
  • Responsible for supporting the operational and strategic objectives of the company through the provision of bestpractice HR advice
  • Lead and/or participate in the executing of various components of the Human Resources Strategy; further assisting in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives
  • Act as a change agent for best practices in the delivery of human resources solutions
  • Invest time to build solid relationships with all levels in the organization, from senior leadership to frontline individual contributors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institution and professional associations to support the assigned portfolio in developing a progressive talent pool, by promoting talent brand recognition
  • Ensure all administrative and transactional work associated with supporting the sites/departments is completed in a timely manner and perform other duties as required
  • Focus on continuous improvement and continuously identify areas and gaps requiring process change or communication
  • Analyze metrics to provide insight into trends and propose appropriate interventions to achieve business goals and increase employee engagement, development and retention

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree or Post-Secondary degree/certificate in Human Resources Management
  • 710 years of directly related experience/generalist experience within a corporate HR environment required
  • Experience in the healthcare/ manufacturing/ pharmaceutical industries
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Legislation (Employment Standards, AODA, OHS, etc)
  • Experiencing developing and implementing HR Policies & Practices
  • Bilingual in French (written/spoken) is an asset
  • Solid experience analyzing HR data and creating relevant HR reports
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Prior experience with an HRIS is required, preferably with ADP Workforce Now or Workday
