Description
The Granite Club is looking for a full time Receiver.

As Receiver in the Purchasing and Receiving department, you will be responsible for all aspects of receiving for the Club, including physical receipt, inspection and internal transfers, effective inventory management and cost control practices resulting in positive impacts on the Club operations.

You will be responsible to receive all products and services in a timely, accurate and safe manner, ensuring receipts comply with the terms and conditions of the Granite Club Purchase Order issued and Club policies.

Primary Responsibilities
Receiving

  • Perform all receiving activities assigned in an efficient and effective manner for the whole Club, while maintaining health and safety standards
  • Ensure vendor compliance when receiving, to Granite Club Purchase Order issued and Club policies and reject and follow up to a full and timely resolution where needed.
  • Oversee physical receipt and inspection of product and internal transfer system in an organized manner.
  • Accurate data entry of internal transfer requisitions and flag to manager, any areas of concern, such as over/under ordering
  • Correspond with all functional departments and vendors on delivery of upcoming Purchase Orders to help develop and maintain an optimum receiving schedule and traffic flow at receiving doors.
  • Maintain organized and safe storage facilities, keeping track of obsolete product by immediate reporting in Inventory system and flagging any dead inventories to manager.
  • Process invoice receipts accurately and efficiently in the Purchasing and Inventory system
  • Follow up with vendors on any pricing discrepancies, credit memos and back orders to close balanced Purchase Order in a timely manner.
  • Prepare beverage requisitions and returns, ensure par stocks are maintained and reconcile accurately with invoice.
  • Help resolve delivery issues, product quality problems and process last minute delivery requests.
  • Assist with maintenance of a reference catalogue of nonconsumable stock items and internal requisition forms.
  • Help monitor vendor key performance indicators, such as on time, in full deliveries
  • Provide input on receiving practices towards continuous process and cost savings improvements.
  • Assist with overseeing the courier and mail, in and out functions for the Club.
  • Some weekend and evening work as needed.
  • Special assignments as assigned.
Inventory Management

  • Perform monthly inventory counts for the storeroom and assist other departments with inventory count where needed.
  • Maintain par stock levels for the main stock rooms in the Receiving area.
  • Ensure all storage areas are maintained clean, free of debris, organized, properly labeled and on a regular cleaning schedule with the housekeeping department.
  • Keep the receiving area clear, and safe for all to pass through.
Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in business, Hospitality Operations, or certification in Purchasing and Inventory Management preferred. Several years experience in a Food and Beverage operation is a definite asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
  • Must be highly organized, resourceful, flexible and a team player.
  • Must be available for some weekend or evening work to assist with special events, month end inventory procedures and other weekly or seasonal activities as needed.
  • Proficiency with Purchasing and Inventory systems, Excel, Word, Google Docs, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
