- This could involve contacting possible sources of information directly, such as employees of other utilities, channel partners, and research/data suppliers, as well as monitoring market trends that are relevant to internal clients on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct data entry and analysis to support research needs and requests.
- Simple project management of research and/or consulting projects conducted by third party vendors.
- Assist in broader strategic projects, such as the annual Business Planning cycle, which includes developing plans for each energy conservation program and for the sectors we offer programs in.
- University degree – ideally a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business Administration from one of the top business schools: Demonstrated writing skills and the ability to pull insights from a variety of sources into a coherent story.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience in and an understanding of the research process, from proposal through final reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to extract insights and provide recommendations.
- Creative data visualization and reporting skills – ability to develop reports that tell a clear story and help make insights actionable.
- Moderate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Market research training.

This an entry-level role that will have great exposure to work all across the company, especially within the future-looking areas of energy conservation and energy transition.
Past incumbents of this type of role have gone onto progressive positions in energy conservation program delivery, program design, market research, and marketing.
