Position:
Banquet Server/Bartender


Department:
Food and Beverage


Reports to:
Banquet Supervisor/F&B Manager


Position Summary:
The server is responsible for providing excellent

service to guests by providing fast and efficient

service of meals and beverages in a courteous

manner.


Smart Serve Training Program Certificate is

required.

Specific Duties
Ø To serve all patrons in assigned banquet rooms.

Ø Ensure all function rooms are set-up according to catering contracts.

Ø Report to work on time with standard uniform; check for assigned function room.

Ø Prepare and set-up function room according to Catering contract


Ø Service of Banquet function ensuring all food and beverage items on catering contract is served in a timely manner.

Ø Ensure efficient and correct delivery of all food and beverage items to assigned sections in a timely manner. Helping other sections when possible.

Ø Clearing of assigned tables according to banquet standards.

Ø Store all banquet equipment in designated areas

Ø Check with Food and Beverage Manager for any additional duties or tasks

Ø Have open line of communications with all related employees

Ø Handle all food and beverage items according to Government health standards

Ø Be familiar with responsible liquor service and existing Government regulations on liquor service.

Ø Handle and store all equipment with care.

Ø Required to spend long periods on own feet and may have to deal with difficult customers.

Ø Provide superior customer care as well as adhering to the ICARE culture.

Ø Respect all other employees.

Ø Must be in full uniform at all times.

Ø Always working with a professional attitude.

Ø Reacts appropriately to guest complaints or issues.

Ø Notifies Banquet Captain or Event Supervisor when there is a complaint or issue so manager can follow up.

Ø Understands dietary restrictions and allergies and is aware of proper procedures to ensure guest have a safe meal.

Ø Helps stock bar with glasses, juice etc.

Ø Covers bartender's breaks.

Ø Proper cleanup of function room, banquet hall, kitchen area etc.

Ø All other duties as assigned by management.

Part-time

Part-time hours: 0-25 per week


Salary:
$15.81 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

  • Brantford, ON N3R 7J4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- serving: 1 year (preferred)
