Restaurant Manager - Faro
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for all things involving Faro Restaurant.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director & Food and Beverage Manager, the Restaurant Manager will work in conjunction with all Food & Beverage leadership to ensure the success of the department.


Qualifications:


  • 24 years of proven experience in a management role within Food & Beverage
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, practices, and techniques
  • Proven ability to examine and reengineer food & beverage operations, form new policies, and develop and implement new strategies.
  • Proven creativity in food and beverage menu development and offerings.
  • Sincere customer focus and true appreciation for hospitality.
  • Sommelier Diploma from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, inventory management, yield management, and budgeting techniques.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Previous hotel/restaurant opening experience an asset.

Responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of Faro, including revenue forecasting;
  • Overseeing the health, safety and security of both guests and employees.
  • Ensure all operational standards and internal policies are kept uptodate at all times.
  • Ensure annual goals relating to service standards are met
  • Work as backup management support to other food and beverage areas of Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
  • Ensure monthly financial projections and results are accurate and on target to expectations.
  • Provides input and recommendations to Food & Beverage Manager on menu development, wine cellar program and special events.
  • Ensure effective communications between all areas of the Food and Beverage Division and other departments within the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
  • Motivate and engage team members to consistently always deliver the best possible service to guests.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely recognition of team and participate in department and hotel recognition events.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with the Faro team.
  • Evening and weekend work is required.
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
