ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is currently looking for a Restoration Estimator.

Job Duties

Estimating the loss and reconstruction of residential and commercial water, fire, wind, mold, and asbestos restoration projects using Xactimate software.
Preparing and interpreting sketches for estimating purposes
Work closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure scope of work and uploads are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare materials, labor and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out loss and reconstruction projects.
Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
Prepare estimates by calculating complete scope of work.
Maintain files of working documents as backup for estimate figures.
Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quote.
Monitor control points/KPIs with insurance adjusters to ensure timelines are met
Monitor estimate uploads to ensure specific timelines are met
Reporting outstanding estimates to Project Managers and Estimating team
Monitor Xactanalysis notes to ensure Project Managers and Coordinators are providing status updates on all ongoing jobs
Tracking of all job using excel and our internal program
Keep up to date on client protocols and update our system as needed
Data Entry and maintaining records/spreadsheets for all jobs
Reception coverage
Assist Project Coordinators as needed

Requirements:

Highly organized selfstarter who is able to work independently
Patience in working with a diverse clientele
Personable with ability to effectively communicate both in verbal and written form
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates.
Confident in the decision making process
Able to work with limited supervision
Ability to recognize and solve problems with mínimal supervision
Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure and tight timelines
Solid understanding and working knowledge of various insurance carrier estimating protocols
Effectively work with customers, adjusters, subcontractors and employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize and meet all assigned time lines
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail
Customer focused respond promptly to customer needs.
Receptive to change can adapt to changing circumstances.
Approachable and sensitive to diverse situations
Flexible to work overtime (including evenings and weekends) as required

Education and Experience

Minimum 3 year's work experience working as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in the restoration and/or construction industry
Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Xactimate/Xactanalysis software
Construction knowledge would be considered a definite asset
Extensive data entry experience with a high degree of accuracy
Exceptional skills in Microsoft office programs including Word, Outlook and Excel. Certification in Advanced Excel will be considered an asset
