- Proven experience in power distribution line construction and line maintenance with an excellent working knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems, work practices, and equipment;
- MEARIE / EDA certification as a Journeyman Powerline Technician; with 10+ years' working experience as a Powerline Technician;
- A valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing with Class 'DZ' (minimum);
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Utility Work Protection Code and Halton Hills Hydro's Construction Verification Program.
- Effectively lead line crews involved in the construction and maintenance of both overhead and underground distribution systems, ensuring the safe and productive performance of the work;
- Understand, practice and reinforce E&USA Safety Rules, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ESA requirements for LDC distribution system construction (Ontario Regulation 22/04) and all other applicable legislation;
- Participate in the training and ongoing mentoring of apprentice linepersons;
- Participate in regular on-call system.

Halton Hills Hydro is looking to fill the position of Line Sub-Foreman in our Operations Department. The successful applicant will be an effective leader who is willing to take charge, show initiative and help our team move forward. This position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.
