Position Description


Provide general upkeep, repair and beautification of the Lodge including: guest rooms, public spaces, food & beverage outlets, spa and pools.

Working in a safe manner, the Engineering Associate collaborates with the Housekeeping and Guest Services teams, while taking direction from the Supervisor and Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responds in a positive and timely manner to all guest calls
  • Daily pool and hot tub cleaning and maintenance
  • Basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
  • Basic carpentry, drywall repair & painting
  • Exterior cleaning, snow removal, pressure washing and drain cleaning
  • Diagnoses electrical and mechanical equipment malfunctions
  • Basic knowledge of boilers and steam room equipment
  • Perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, grasping, and heavy lifting
  • Follows safety procedures and communicates any hazards
  • Performs other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical concepts
  • Ability to work on a team and autonomously
  • Training in skilled trade an asset
  • Eye for detail
  • Fall protection and WHMIS training an asset

Other

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Available to work day/night shift as required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $23.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week
