    Description

    In this role you will be responsible to develop and produce complete electrical design packages for large machines and equipment, including detailed schematics, cable charts, panel layouts and bills of materials. In addition to this you will be responsible for programming and testing of machines/equipment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and produce complete electrical design packages for large machines and equipment, including detailed schematics, cable charts, panel layouts and bills of materials
  • Specify and integrate third-party equipment into electrical design package. Examples include ethernet communications, hardware handshaking, conveyor systems, robotics, motors, drives, motion control products and test equipment
  • Create functional layouts of electrical control systems and sequence of operations
  • Design, validate and support PLC, HMI and SCADA programs
  • Test, validate and trouble shoot electrical equipment and PLC programs
  • Support Equipment Installation team with Electrical/Programming issues
  • Create and manage accurate documentation package for each project
  • Ensure that designs are in accordance with Electrical codes and Safety laws

    • EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Electro-Mechanical engineering or technology

    • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of experience is required
  • Proven experience with Auto CAD Electrical
  • Should be proficient with designing, PLC based assembly equipment's (minimum 3 years)
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical design practices
  • Knowledge of Electrical Codes, Safety laws and related international Standards
  • Experience with selecting electrical industrial components such as motors, drives, relays, breakers, sensors, etc.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming (2 to 3 years)
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Motion Control Systems, preferably Powerflex VFD Drives
  • Robot Programming and vision system experience is a plus
  • Strong programming, electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of Hydraulic and Mechanical systems
  • Attention to detail with hands on approach to electrical issues
  • Some Travel might be required
