Description

What you'll be doing:


  • Oversee daytoday operations at three local retail locations
  • Communicate with owner and management at out of province locations
  • Provide instore customer service
  • Complete instore merchandising (some night shifts required during busy seasons)
  • Design business strategies and set goals for growth
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
  • Ensure high merchandising standards and visual displays
  • Maintain a productive team of up to 30 employees
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Oversee recruitment and training of both retail workers and assistant managers

What you'll bring:


  • Experience as a General Manager or similar role
  • A valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Proven ability to calmly handle HR issues such as employee conflicts
  • Experience with merchandising and visual design
  • Problem analysis and solving skills
  • Dedication to the safety of all employees
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to manage a diverse staff
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Availability for afterhours and weekend work
