Job Summary/Basic Function

  • Are you looking for a chance to put your education into practice? Take it to the next level with a Coop position with the City of Kelowna
  • We are looking for an outgoing and detailoriented team player to join our Water Quality team.

In this role you will be:

  • Working with a proprietary software system to collect, analyze, and refine water meter data.
  • Assist in the development of a reporting dashboard for the Utility to understand water demand and reduce water loss.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to promote water conservation, assist in water leak notification, leak identification, and promotion of advance metering technology.

Duties

Qualifications- Enrolled in a full time Education Program at a post-secondary institution

  • Completion of 1st year in a Water Engineering Technology Diploma program or related program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organization skills
  • Previous experience working in a Water Facility would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Valid BC Driver's License
