- Provide mechanical expertise and support TOC in mechanical installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
- Demonstrate ability to diagnose and fix problems accurately and efficiently, conducting root cause analyses for a permanent solution
- Repair equipment/parts in the shop if needed and collaborate with other trades groups for project completion
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area and maintenance shop
- Understand Safety requirements and procedures
- Read mechanical drawings
- Comprehend GMPs, HACCP, CCP, Lean, 5S, SOP, WHMIS
- Work independently and in a team-based setting. Keep managers updated and take ownership of daily actions and decisions
- Organized with good multi-tasking abilities
- Interpret blueprints
- Problem-solve and bring industry best practices
- Complete work orders timely, familiar with Workorders and Preventive Maintenance cycle
- Support other maintenance department employees when required
- Respond to machinery breakdowns effectively
- Hands-on with mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Identify and implement improvements in machinery
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency in PLC, thermal imaging, ultrasound, vibration analysis is a plus
- Hold a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial/AB/ON/BC Millwright OR be a Millwright Apprentice
- Hold a valid Power Engineer Certificate
- Certified as a 4th class Power Engineer or 5th class in boiler and refrigeration
- Experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical plant is advantageous
- Proficient in English, with good communication skills
- Flexible shifts including overnight shift
- Available for OT as needed
- Work 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 hours shifts
