Project Sales Specialist, Latin America

THE POSITION:


Under the direction of the Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service, Latin America, the Project Sales Specialist acts as a liaison between the Company's direct customers and distributors in Mexico, Central and South America and all Winpak and Winpak business units.

This position elaborates, processes and communicates pertinent information to various departments, ensuring efficient operations of business and making sure that new developments and new products are delivered to satisfy customers needs.

The incumbent will be empowered to formulate action plans, propose solutions and execute decisions based on the strategies outlined by their leader and will take on and develop new projects given by the Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Process requests for all business unit products from the Latin American customers and communicates results between business units and the customers.
  • Process requests from key accounts and the sales representatives, i.e. (customer complaints, requests for chemical analysis, credit/debit request, artwork, plates, freight charges, price quotes, proposals, etc.)
  • Work directly with key accounts on the planning and the forecasting of product and ensures that a good supply process is not disrupted.
  • Proactively identifies, addresses and resolves issues that may occur; in conjunction with the Sales and Business Development Director.
  • Works on developments of new products or structures changes of products.
  • Organizes, prepares and submits all paperwork required by customers or sales representative related to the good operation of sales and product quality in such a manner so it meets customers expectations.
  • Effectively manages customer projects and ensures that they are completed accurately and timely. Works with pricing and pricing changes in contracts. If required, participate in the process negotiation and agreements, together with the Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service, Latin America.
  • Facilitate crossfunctional meetings, conference call to review & plan upcoming customer needs and launching of new products.
Be the main contact for key accounts from all customers departments:

R&D, Purchasing, Planning, Production and Shipping; ensuring internally that the issues are solved in a proper manner and due dates for any requirements are met.


  • Collaborate with planning and supply chain teams from other business units in order to minimize risk of customer shortages of material.
  • Adhere to Winpak's Marketing Policies and Procedures. When required, assists with the collection of receivables.
  • Manage any territory inventory in accordance with company policy and/or special agreements.
  • Maintains logs of all customer orders, inventory and delivery schedules.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operations in support of Winpak's TQI program.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 standards. Under the guidance and approval of the Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service, Latin America, the Project Sales Specialist, Latin America, may be required to travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Post-Secondary education, preferably in Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and customer service.
  • 2 to 3 years related customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing a sales territory is an asset.
  • Proven track record in sales and service.
  • Knowledge of computerized systems.
  • Proficient MS Office computer skills, advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly selfmotivated, with a willingness to learn and able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Proven analytical skills with strong problemsolving abilities.
  • Must be highly organized, able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Experience with exports and imports.


  • Bilingual

  • English and Spanish, both written and verbal required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills, able to deal with multiple levels within an organization, across all business units and externally.
