Login Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the

Login Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Receive samples and document receipt
Inspect samples and sample information sheet, documenting sample integrity. Notify Team Leaders of any potential problems with samples, analysis or client requests.
Communicate with client regarding sample integrity and analysis requests and document all communications
Enter sample and client information into LIMS, assigning analysis requirements and generating sample labels, Notice of Sample Receipt and Lot Communication Sheets
Distribute samples to the correct sample storage location
Determine internal/external sublet location and prepare sample for shipping
Complete daily checks of sample storage equipment
Receive payment from clients
Request supplies and consumables in advance of requirement by recording needed items in order book
Follow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Manual
General duties as directed by the team leader or operations manager
Strict adherence to the corporate Quality System
Read, understand and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and notify coworkers of potential sample hazards; comply with all rules and responsibilities as outlined under the corporate Health and Safety Policy

Skills / Qualifications:

Working knowledge of laboratory safety
HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
02 years' experience in a testing related field
Basic understanding of testing concepts
Possess computer skills.

Physical Demands:

Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
Lifting requirements: lifting

50 lbs. on occasion

Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
