We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our excavation and sewer projects.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

Work under the direct supervision of a foreman or the client to ensure project objectives are met.
Set up and operate machinery like excavators, skid steers and other heavy equipment, according to instructions and project specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine checkups to ensure optimal performance. Monitor machine performance, identify any malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Grease machinery, conduct circle checks and demonstrate good operation skills.
Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
Communicate effectively with team members, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
Perform other duties as required to support the overall success of the construction project.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role.
Proficient in operating heavy machinery like Excavators, Skid Steers, Dozers and Loaders.
Experience in digging basements, mainline experience, fine and rough grading is a huge asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. This includes adhering to safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Pay:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
