PROGRAM MANAGER


Members of JANA's Project Management Office ('PMO'), under the direction of the Vice President, PMO and in heavy collaboration with JANA's Product Managers & Project Managers, JANA's Program Managers own success of all interconnected projects within their business area.

Program Managers are single-threaded leaders with a strategic focus in a specific business area, ensuring all projects within that business area are aligned with JANA's objectives and strategy.

Program Managers are cross-functional communicators that support project strategy, risk assessment and planning, quality control and reporting.

They proactively integrate across the organization, ensuring development is not out of sync and is within the necessary scope while also coordinating development projects with delivery projects.


Program Managers use their technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Program Managers drive an impactful, strategic effort to align internal development along consistent paths, including developing a program and strategy and partnering effectively across Product, Project, and Client teams.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Strategizes, implements, and maintains strategic program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
  • Supports Project Managers in the planning and prioritization of development work, removes roadblocks, and keeps processes running smoothly (e.g., defining milestones, coordinating feature requests, generating timelines, etc.).
  • Maintains lineofsight to multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached.
  • Builds analytics pipelines, creates dashboards, and runs queries to synthesize and analyze data; turns data into insights that help drive business and product decisions.
  • Acts as a supporting resource with Market Managers, Product Managers, and Project Managers in the planning and development of scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Interfaces with teams throughout JANA to identify crossteam dependencies and promotes transparent lines of communications to align stakeholders.
  • Creates communications (status, issues, risks) for senior management discussion.
  • Establishes a level of standard for process and continually drives improvements that promote a high level of quality and execution velocity.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks and produces program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to decision makers, providing valuable insights to the impacted product and crossfunctional teams, with a focus on maximizing returnoninvestment.
  • Accountable for meeting budget, timelines, and resource commitments
  • Validates the critical path for each project, the work breakdown structures and associated detailed tasks defined by the project manager(s).
