Full Time Patient Care Coordinator
Bentley Hearing Services is looking for a full time Patient Care Coordinator for our Byron audiology clinic.


POSITION:

The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients for the practice. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, completing administrative processing and recordkeeping.

This position requires to answer questions regarding our practice, screen patients to determine what services will meet their needs, and demonstrate excellent customer service to our patients.


JOB FUNCTIONS:

Customer Service

  • Answer incoming calls and assist patients with the appropriate service.
  • Confirms the next day appointments.
  • Confirms hearing aids and ear molds are ready prior to confirming client appointment.
  • Greets and assists patients, as required.
  • Ensures required patient forms are complete and uptodate, as required.
  • Retrieves phones messages and prioritizes return phone calls, as required.
  • Ensures the front office is in order, as required.
  • Maintains the pending appointment list.
  • Weekly complete recall calls and document.
  • Assists with processing patient reports, as needed.
  • Delivers reports to Audiologist's offices, as needed.
Accounting functions

  • Collects and records payments, as required.
  • Processes day end, as needed.
  • Submits third party billing and ADP forms, as needed, including followups.
Miscellaneous duties

  • Sends out birthday cards to all patients in the data base semimonthly.
  • Sends out annual recall cards monthly.
  • Maintains an attractive and welcoming office environment.
  • Establishes and maintains good public relations.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Practices good safety and Health and Safety protocols.
  • Exercises confidentiality as it relates to all business and client information.
  • Assumes the role of the Patient Care Coordinator as required for both Springbank and Wonderland clinics (i.e. vacation and sick day coverage).
  • Deliveries to Doctor's offices, as required. Assist with preparation of packages.

JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:


  • Must be high school graduate. Prefer completion of Office/Medical Administration program or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
  • Requires the ability to deal with numerous interruptions.
  • Must deal with patients in a caring and respectful manner.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to input and track sales revenues and balance accounts daily, as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Frequently requires sitting, using hands, reaching and twisting.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Standing and walking throughout the day.
  • The work environment is generally quiet, with moderate noise from phones and other business office machines.

Salary:
$17.00 per hour
