We are seeking an
AVP, National Sales & Business Development. The position will be based out of Mississauga and will be directly responsible managing a national sales team.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of sales representatives at a National level.
  • Develop, execute and oversee sales and retention strategies, in collaboration with the VP.
  • Monitor and support sales performance of the sales team members
  • Motivate and encourage sales team members; recognize and/or reward desired results and behavior
  • Maintain regular, weekly communication and attend "field visits" with each sales team member as required
  • Review and provide feedback on weekly reports and business plans. Complete an executive summary of reports for senior management
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and develop performance plans as required
  • Oversee the recruiting of new sales team members
  • Complete yearend individual sales projections and expense budgets with sales team
  • Pursue and assist with strategic partnerships to increase revenue and brand awareness
  • Increase revenue by building relationships and providing the required support to various business lines
  • Manage some head office relationships with our lender customers
  • Establish Territory Business Plan(s) that will ensure growth of key markets/customers within the territory.
  • Monitor, coach and address performance levels of sales team
  • Ensure team operates within approved expense plans
  • Conduct detailed sales analysis as required
  • Some travel required
  • Develop and/or assist with marketing initiatives as required
  • Attend industry functions, participate in associations, etc.

Qualifications

  • University Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years people management experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years professional sales experience and/or relationship management experience
  • Solid understanding of residential mortgage lending
  • Familiarity with the local real estate market / industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Selfmotivated and disciplined
  • Experience working with sales targets
  • Strong public speaker who is comfortable in addressing small to large groups
  • Good analytical ability identify opportunities and propose strategy / direction
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create immediate rapport
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong knowledge of title insurance is an asset
