    Description

    FNF Canada, a division of Fidelity National Financial, is one of the country's largest providers of title insurance and ancillary services. With our continued growth in Canada, we are seeking a Junior Legal Assistant on a contract basis for our Mississauga office. In-person collaboration, office-based work is necessary for the role.

    The ideal candidates will possess real estate experience in a busy law firm or related environment. They must work well under pressure as well as under minimal supervision and can deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. The candidates must also be very organized, have excellent time management skills and display a positive attitude.

    Primary responsibilities:

  • Process discharge requests received from various clients.
  • Complete and verify all mortgage information with client.
  • Prepare applicable documents (i.e. discharge, mortgage document package, title change documents etc.) as per respective lender program requirements.
  • Electronically register discharges or send for registration to respective LRO where required.
  • Provide superior customer service to our clients.
  • Monitor volumes and prioritize deals based on expected completion date.

    • Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field
  • Law firm background an asset.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in Real Estate Law preferred.
  • Experience with Teraview, Conveyancer.
  • Must be very organized and have excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a Team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including a 12pm-8pm shift and weekends when required.
