Job Description:
SUMMARY:
Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs, including software and computer installations and upgrades, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and technical support for all users and projects of the organization.
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- Responsible to user administration in active directory, creating and maintaining group policies, OU etc. Setup and management of backup and disaster recovery software and systems.
- Work on internal infrastructure, cloud, network and data center projects
- Be a team player who is selfmotivated with a positive attitude.
- Assist internally and with customer IT situations and troubleshooting using strong systems administration and networking skills.
- Multitask and work under dynamic conditions and constraints with limited supervision
- Manage multiple customer cases simultaneously and provide regular progress updates to customers with open support issues
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 35 years of desktop support/network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration, & IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields a plus
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Handson experience in SAN Storage setup, RAID configuration
- Strong knowledge in SCCM environment, migrating or upgrading the SCCM environment from one server to another server, imaging, software deployment is must.
- Strong network knowledge such as IP networking, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, whitelisting, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience with networking components and technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and wireless access points.
- Configure and maintain Active Directory Infrastructure, DFS, DHCP, DNS (Infoblox), SCCM, WDS, WSUS, and other Microsoft Infrastructure and security services.
- Experience managing and administering virtualized technologies such as Citrix, VMWare/VSphere 6.7 and 7.0, NSX-T, ESX, VSAN, Veeam
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
