Position Title:
Technology Specialist, Intermediate - Core Infrastructure

Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

What you will be doing:


  • Assist with the design, implementation, and management of business systems infrastructure including:
  • End-to-end solutions, operations, and management of the company's enterprise Wintel and cloud platforms supporting 24x7 production, pre-production, and disaster recovery environments ( >700 systems) including both on-premises as well as cloud-hosted
  • Actively participate in Infrastructure and business system project participation, including the forecasting, management, and execution of related infrastructure activities
  • Continuously create and improve business value through process improvement and automation, capacity planning, demand management, system operations, and solution innovation
  • Provide critical support response to infrastructure or business system incidents (including highly critical, performance impacting) and problems

What you will bring:


  • Three (3) to five (5) or more years experience in
    IT, with at least 2 years in a related infrastructure or cloudbased role
  • Expertise and knowledge in building and maintaining Microsoft server technologies, business systems, and web services platforms both on premises and cloudhosted
  • Developing/Proficient experience with public cloud services (Azure, AWS, Office365) and including experience/exposure to App Services, Logic/Function Apps, Key Vault, Policy, and Containers
  • Knowledge or experience with scripting/automation a strong asset
  • Proficiency in working with Active Directory and well as Group Policy (incl. technical certifications)
  • Knowledge and experience of working with VMWare or other similar virtualization technologies (i.e. Hyper-V).
  • Developing experience with business systems and web services platforms (eg. IIS, Websphere, and SQL Server)
  • Knowledge and experience with workload management batch management systems (i.e. Active Batch)
  • Solid knowledge of supporting shared infrastructure services, such as storage, backup, and networking
  • Previous experience working in an
    IT ticketing system, such as ServiceNow (or similar)
