A day in the role of a Guest Attendant at The Mayfield Retirement Residence.


As a Guest Attendant at The Mayfield Retirement Residence, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth.

In this position, you will be gifted with a rewarding experience every day in the form of being able to see the exact impact you place on our residents.

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Performs a wide variety of tasks that may include general housekeeping, laundry, recreational activities and providing general assistance with personal care and daily living activities of residents,-
  • Provides direction and guidance to Residents in the provision of activities of daily living as per care plan,-
  • Monitors Resident's level of wellness and responds to medical emergencies,-
  • Observing and reporting changes in the Resident's physical and emotional condition to the Registered associates as required,-
  • Maintains effective communication with Residents, families and fellow associates,-
  • Promotes the Vision, Mission and Values of Lifetimes Living Inc. as well as the Residents' Bill of Rights,-
  • Serving meals in the dining room,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualifications needed to join our family at The Mayfield Retirement Residence are as follows:

  • A graduate of high school/ college/ university,-
  • Experienced in working with seniors in a Retirement Home setting.-
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate,-
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Retirement Homes Act and other applicable legislation,-
  • Familiar with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act,-
  • Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, and must be able to provide three supervisory references.
