We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated
Relief Youth Worker** who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.

**Key Responsibilities: - Establish a positive rapport with youth by being friendly, non-judgmental, non-intrusive, and approachable.
- Oversee the 19unit program and residents, handling issues that may arise.
- Engage youth in a meaningful way by providing counseling, information, support, and advocacy.
- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the purpose, goals, objectives, and operational procedures of the program and organizational policies.
- Work with community partners in the program and ensure proper communication and sharing of information.
- Maintain an awareness of other social service agencies in the Hamilton Region and a working knowledge of the legislation that affects the target population of the program.
- Ensure safety of team and safety of all program participants, including the entry to program.
- Complete statistics, client files, daily logs, and other administrative documentation, as required.
- Complete household cleaning responsibilities as required.
- Provide crisis management support when necessary.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of C.Y.W. or S.S.W. diploma.
- At least 1 year's experience working with streetinvolved/homeless youth.
- Experience working in a residential setting is an asset.
- Commitment to a flexible work schedule which includes overnight and weekend hours.
- Nonviolent crisis intervention, First aid/CPR training, ASIST certification.
