    Senior Access to Information - Richmond, BC, Canada - WorkSafeBC

    Description

    Work a Monday to Friday week and do work that matters supporting an organization whose mandate is to improve health and safety of workplaces across the province.


    In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond office with some flexibility to work from your home in B.

    As a senior access to information and privacy officer you will:

    Represent WorkSafeBC in Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner reviews and hearings (written)
    Advise on responses to any privacy complaints in accordance with WorkSafeBC policies
    Develop and deliver in-house training programs related to FIPPA

    Write strong decisions by interpreting applicable law and policy
    A university degree in law
    A member of the Law Society of British Columbia, or currently eligible for membership
    PACC/IAPP certification is an asset, but is not required
    A minimum of five years of experience in legal analysis, with well-developed writing skills and research techniques
    Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.

    WorkSafeBC's COVID-19 Employee Mandatory Vaccine Policy (the "Policy") is suspended effective January 9, 2023, however we reserve the right to re-implement it in response to changes in the public health landscape, including public health orders.
