Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects.

The CIB's mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.

The Manager, Asset Management, will be based in Toronto directly reporting to the Director of Asset Management.

The Manager will be responsible for onboarding investments as well as routine activities including monitoring investments, performance reporting, draw execution and liaising with other areas of the CIB on related asset management matters.

Your responsibilities include

  • Onboard new investments including coordinating with management teams and establishing processes and procedures for ongoing compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio and asset performance
  • Prepare investment updates to various stakeholders including quarterly presentations and annual reviews
  • Validate funding requests and coordinate funds flow between Finance and assets (i.e., construction draws, interest charges and amortization repayments, etc.)
  • Update amortization schedules and operating models
  • Maintain liquidity forecasts for both existing and prospective investments
  • Track and maintain KPIs for each investment
  • Liaise with the Investments team for nonroutine activities including consents, waivers and remediation plans
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Risk teams on Annual Internal Rating Reviews including the calculation of Expected Credit Losses ("ECLs")
  • Assist with continuous development and streamlining of processes and procedures
  • Assist in special projects as required (i.e., Asset Management System)
Your ideal profile

  • Postsecondary or University degree in accounting/business/finance
  • Professional accounting designation and/or CFA is an asset
  • Four+ years of experience in a related field
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and highly analytical
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills
  • Sense of initiative, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including reviewing and updating financial models
  • Experience with project financing or corporate debt is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
