Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Saskatoon-Central, SK location at Earl's Pharmacy.

  • This is a 1year term position with the possibility of an extension.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • The usual shifts will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:


  • Administer accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank deposits.
  • Reconciliations.
  • Receive incoming mail.
  • Order and monitor office supplies.
  • Administer filing, including prescription filling.
  • Assist with midmonth and monthend nursing home billings.
  • Process all care home patient statements at midmonth and monthend.
  • Provide customer service including setting up payment options.
  • Notify customers and the manager of delinquent accounts.
  • Count Till and Float.
  • Processing payments and responding to customer inquiries about accounts.
  • Providing excellent customer service in person, over the phone and by correspondence.
  • General office duties as well as miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator, Pharmacist, and central fill operations.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Previous bookkeeping/general accounting experience is required. This is an entrylevel role.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and coworkers.
  • Work steadily under deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative, direction, and prioritize.
  • Professional image and proper grooming.
