Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree /College Diploma in Human Resources, Labour/ Industrial Relations or other specialized training with exposure to Industrial Relations
- Minimum 3 years' experience as HR/LR Generalist working in unionized environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant workplace legislation, including Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of DEI practices, policies, processes, and evaluation tools
- Strong interpersonal and decisionmaking skills, especially in relation to conflict resolution
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to codevelop and codeliver effective presentations and workshops
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse constituencies and communities in a team environment
- Strong acumen for data compilation, analysis and interpretation
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Excel, and HRIS
- Strong skills using teleconferencing and video conferencing tools (ex: Skype, MSFT Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Experience and ability to work with confidential information/situations
- Must have access to reliable transportation as this position will support multiple sites within GTA
