Your Role
As a Healthcare Administrative Assistant in our Edmonton branch, you will ensure our operations run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include scheduling and confirming patient appointments, managing schedules for physicians and clinicians, handling referrals, preparing patient charts, and maintaining electronic records.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, using your strong communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology to support seamless patient care.


Qualifications

  • A Medical Office Assistant Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in office administration within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in using TELUS Med Access EMR is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and a strong understanding of data privacy practices.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities, with outstanding telephone and customer service etiquette.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • An empathetic, kind, and approachable demeanor, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage tasks efficiently under pressure.
  • Effective time management and active listening skills, with a capacity for following directions accurately.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
