About the Opportunity:


All Clerk B staff in Medical Day Unit and Systemic Therapy report and work under the direction of the Assistant Manager.

The treatment areas require the clerk B to work in Booking, Chart Preparation and Registration. The roles involve direct contact with the healthcare team and patients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to booking of appointments, schedule maintenance including reconciling daily statistics for the units, notifications to patients of appointments, chart preparation and dismantling, and primary telephone contact for the unit, including answering and directing telephone calls and assisting patients with inquiries.

The position requires you to work an equal number of weekends and holidays in Medical Day Unit.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII plus one year related clerical experience or recognized one year administrative/business program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
  • Experience using STAR, PHS, SHARE, One Content and Millennium preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm during an emergency and work with numerous interruptions and continuous change an asset
  • Knowledge of computers and typing required
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:

Permanent, Full Time; 70 hours bi-weekly


Compensation and Incentives:

$ $21.91 Hourly
