Manager, Accounting (Terminals at our Saskatoon office. This position is temporary and expected to last for approximately 18 to 24 months.

The opportunity

  • Responsible for the supervision of direct reports, fosters and develops effective working relationships and high performance between team members.
  • Ensure terminal costs, internal policies and controls are reported in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Conduct accounting for terminals such as cash flow management, accounts payable, journal entries and monthly cost reporting.
  • Maintains and prepares the budgets and reporting variances throughout the year as needed.
  • Prepare yearend financial statements and supporting documentation for the external audit process.

You have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum five to seven years' experience in a financial position
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

You bring

  • A team player with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships and high performance with staff, management, executives, shareholders and external auditors.
  • Strong and consistent communication skills to provide feedback, coaching, mentoring and motivation for employees.
  • Excellent leadership and the ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.
